• How do I order a cake?

 

We take cake orders at our LaPlace Location only, and you can order over the phone 216-514-2253 or in person. We have a trained sales staff that will be happy to assist you with your order. We do not place cake orders online.

We suggest AT LEAST 2-4 weeks notice on any custom cake order, and at least 1 year on any wedding cake order. We require as much notice as possible on any cake requiring artwork, or and sculpted cakes. We are a very small shoppe and often book up very quickly. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit on any custom order placed. We accept cash, checks or all major credit cards including Discover and American Express.

 

When is the best day to order a custom cake?

If you are looking to spend time designing the cake with a salesperson, Mondays-Thursdays are the best days to stop in, or you can call over the phone to place your order. We can also work with you via email at info@whiteflowercake.com.

NEW!Classic Wedding Cakes

 

Classic Wedding Cakes are the perfect centerpiece for your wedding reception. Classic Wedding Cake Pricing is $500 and includes the following:

3 tier round buttercream frosted wedding cake to serve 100
White or Ivory background
Details can be piped in any color to match your color scheme
3 delicious cake flavors to choose from: Traditional White, Chocolate or Red Velvet
Cake fillings included: Raspberry, Strawberry, Chocolate Ganache, Chocolate Buttercream, Cream Cheese filling, Cookies and Cream buttercream, Vanilla Buttercream

Cake Pick up or Cake Delivery option(additional cost)-Local delivery starting at $100
Buttercream flowers are included in the cost(Fresh flowers are provided by your florist)
Sheet cakes can be added for an additional $2.50 per slice. Cupcakes can also be added starting at $2.50 each.

Our Signature buttercream wedding cakes start out at $6.00 per slice for a custom design including different shapes, colors, designs, unlimited cake flavors, etc.  Wedding cake pricing applies to cakes 125 and up, so the minimum cost on a signature wedding cake is $750.

What is your pricing on birthday and occasional cakes? (non-wedding celebrations like birthday cakes, graduation, baby shower, wedding shower, holiday etc)

Pricing varies depending on the season. Please call our shop at 216-514-2253 and we can give you a price quote over the phone.

 

What cake sizes do you offer and how many do they serve?

6″ round-serves 6-8 6″ square serves 9

8″round-serves 8-12 8″ square serves 13-14

 

10″ round-serves 12-15 10″ square serves 16-18

12″ round-serves 25 12″ square serves 35

14″ round-serves 40 14″ square serves 45-46

What is the pricing of Sculpted cakes? (3 dimensional cakes): example-Cars, Stadiums, Sports helmets, etc…basically, anything sculpted

minimum of $1000 for a minimum of 50 servings on all sculpted 3 dimensional cakes

We do not design cakes with characters that are trademarked-example: Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Strawberry Shortcake etc. We can create a cake that matches the colors of the characters, and you can provide us with purchased toys or figurines to put on the cake as a topper, or accent.

 

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE PROPER VEHICLE TO TRANSPORT YOUR CAKE ORDER.

The cake needs to sit flat in the trunk of a car or SUV, and White Flower is not responsible for any damage done to a cake during transport due to improper loading of a cake into your car. Cakes need to sit level, not on a seat-we recommend clearing out the trunk of your car before pick up, and we will be happy to load your cake in your car for you.

 

I forgot to order a cake, what should I do?

 

You can always call the shop to see if we have availability on short notice, or you can stop in and purchase our signature cakes out of our display cooler. We usually have a selection of 6″ cakes that serve 6-8, and 8″ cakes that serve 8-12 every day. These cakes are first come, first serve, and we can hold a cake for you over the phone if you pay in full with a credit card number. The cakes are pre-decorated with designs on the sides, flowers on top, and can be personalized with a sugar plaque for an additional $5. You cannot exchange the cake if it is personalized with a sugar plaque over the phone when you come in to pick it up.

 

• Do you sell cupcakes, cookies and brownies that I can stop in and pick up anytime?

We have a display case full of sweets everyday for purchase-cupcakes, brownies, mini cakes, wedding cake slices. You can stop in during our store hours and purchase any of these items. We always keep our display case fully stocked with fresh baked items and never run out! If you are at Beachwood Mall, you can also purchase these items at our Sweet Shoppe Kiosk that is located by the main mall entrance by Maggiono’s.

 

• Do you offer a Wedding Cake Consultation?

 

We are open by appointment for Wedding Cake Design Consultation and Cake Tasting. We’d
love to share our decorating ideas with you and give you the chance to sample our cake flavors and fillings. Get our wedding cake consultation details. Consultations are available for sculpted or stacked cakes that are 50 servings and over.

 

• How far in advance should I order my cake?

 

Please order cakes for summer months as soon as possible!

Because of the time and complexity that goes into our cakes, it is best to reserve your date as soon as possible. We are a small shop that can only take so many custom orders, so we often book up for custom cakes months ahead of time.

 

• Do you do sketches of wedding cakes?

 

One of the unique services we offer to our wedding couples is to create custom sketches to view different design options for wedding cakes. Once you reserve your date with us, we begin the design process of sketching out several designs for you.

 

• Do you deliver the cakes?

Cakes can be delivered or picked up depending on your needs. Delivery starts out at $100 and is based on the distance from our cake shoppe. Delivery is also based on our availability, so contact us as soon as you know you need delivery. We do not deliver cakes on Sundays unless they are wedding cakes, and delivery starts out at $150 for Sunday deliveries.

 

What are your cookie,  cupcake and centerpiece cake prices?

Medium — $5 cookies are approx 4″ in size

Large — $6 cookies are approx 5″-6″ in size

• What is your refund/deposit policy?

Terms and Conditions of Sale: A non-refundable deposit of 50% or $300
(whichever is greater) is required at the time all orders are placed to reserve
a date and product. If the order
is completed, this deposit will be applied to the balance owed. If the order
is cancelled or additional payments are not made when due, White Flower will
retain this deposit. Read full

• Can I get a styrofoam cake and have sheet cakes made to save money?

We do offer styrofoam cakes, but they are the same cost as a wedding cake. We offer sheet cakes only if the # of servings exceeds 150, and they start at $2.50/slice.

 

• I only need a small wedding cake under
125 servings. What is the cost?

We offer the following:

2 tier classic buttercream cake that serves 10 that start out at $95.

2 tier classic buttercream cake that serves 20 that starts out at $200

3 tier classic buttercream cake that serves 50 that starts out at $400.

Anything else is subject to our stacked cake pricing at $8 per serving. You can order cupcakes at $2.50 each to supplement the rest of your servings. We do not offer sheet cakes unless your servings exceed 100.

 

• What is fondant frosting?

Fondant frosting is a sugar dough that is applied to the surface of a cake to make it very smooth, almost porcelain like. It does go over the buttercream frosting, so that if your guests do not prefer the fondant, they can simply peel it back and eat the frosting underneath. We offer wedding cakes in both buttercream and fondant frostings, and we recommend that you sample both if you come in for a cake tasting.

If you bring us a picture of a cake done in fondant, but want it to look like buttercream, please keep in mind it will not look the same. The only way to achieve a flawless finish is through using fondant. Buttercream will show spatula marks, and air bubbles, and is also affected by heat and humidity. If you choose a buttercream wedding cake for the summer months, it must be placed in a venue that has a cool, air conditioned enviroment. We do not do buttercream wedding cakes for outdoor weddings. We do not do gumpaste or sugar flowers on buttecream wedding cakes, fresh flowers only.

 

• Do you offer cake decorating classes?

We occasionally offer cake decorating classes for adults and children, which will be listed on our Cake Decorating Classes page.

 

• Do you have a list of preferred vendors?

• Can I rent cake pedestals or cupcake stands?

We do rent our stands locally, we do not ship stands out of state.
